P&G To Shutter Detergent Plant

North American manufacturing consolidation hits Augusta, GA.

Procter & Gamble plans to shutter its Augusta, GA fabric care factory as part of a plan to tailor its North American manufacturing efforts, according to several news reports from the Cincinnati and Augusta areas.   The facility, which manufactures Bounce bars and Downy Unstopables, will be shut down in the next 12 to 18 months.  The decision affects 40 P&G employees and 150 contractors.  ...
